StratX Simulations
About StratX

Theory only gets you so far.

Giving students the ability to test their classroom lectures in the realities of the business world has always been our critical advantage. In fact, it’s the reason StratX was created.

20 years ago, our founder, Jean-Claude Larréché, Alfred H. Heineken Professor of Marketing at INSEAD, began searching for a way to give his students the opportunity to not only learn business concepts, but apply them in a realistic context. After all, nothing teaches quite like experience. Help students learn from mistakes now, and they’re far less likely to make a mistake when the costs are real.

From this vision, Jean-Claude created the Markstrat simulation, currently used by more than 500 academic institutions, including 8 of the top 10 international business schools, and 25 of the top 30 in the US. He also became a passionate advocate of action-based learning, and believed that students and professionals can profit just as much from engaging with such an interactive and intuitive experience as part of their skills development.

Today, StratX delivers the most customized simulations in the world. From undergraduates and MBA students to entry-level marketers, marketing professionals and senior executives, there is a StratX simulation tailored to their experience and industry. Our approach is simple. Strong. And working for the benefit of top business schools and Fortune 500 companies every day.
